Hegseth was not at his usual spot on the Fox & Friends couch on Saturday with Joey Jones stepping into replace him while he readies for a coming confirmation process.

The hosts of Fox & Friends were apparently just as surprised as everybody else to learn that Donald Trump had chosen their colleague Pete Hegseth as his next defense secretary. The president-elect announced his eyebrow-raising nomination on Truth Social Tuesday,

"Is that real?" Doocy said, not believing it could be true. The Fox and Friends hosts did their best to pretend their colleague is completely qualified to be the Secretary of Defense, even though he has no experience running anything other than a shell charity that he paid his brother with.
