New Orleans Police are investigating two incidents, a shooting and a homicide, linked to a second line event on Sunday afternoon. Both occurred in the afternoon in the Fifth District, leaving a total of 12 gunshot wound victims, two of which have been pronounced dead as of Sunday night.

Police immediately shut down a parade and closed a bridge after the event was marred by two shootings within 45 minutes of each other.
