T-Mobile US Inc.’s network was among those recently breached by Chinese hackers in an attack on multiple telecommunications companies, the Wall Street Journal reported.

This is the ninth known cyberattack to target T-Mobile in recent years, according to an ongoing count by TechCrunch.

The carrier joins a growing list of known victims, including AT&T and Verizon, of the major Chinese spying operation.

T-Mobile confirms it was hacked in the wave of recently reported telecom breaches conducted by Chinese threat actors to gain access to private communications, call records, and law enforcement information requests.
