Nashville, Tenn. (Nov. 11, 2024) – In honor of their induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame tonight in Toronto, the Nashville Predators will welcome David Poile and Shea Weber back to Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 23 prior to the team’s game against the Winnipeg Jets.

That was 45 years ago, give or take a day. Jimmy Devellano had just been hired as GM of the Detroit Red Wings. Bob MacMillan was the new GM of the Colorado Rockies. Every job Poile seemed to apply for came back with the same answer. He ordered another drink and kept talking.

Former Predators general manager David Poile and former defenseman Shea Weber will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame tonight during a ceremony in Toronto. Poile and Weber were voted into the Hall of Fame in June, along with Colin Campbell, Natalie Darwitz, Krissy Wendell-Pohl, Pavel Datsyuk and Jeremy Roenick.
